Accomodation

As Trier is a major tourist town there are many hotels around the city. However they are quite busy at weekends throughout the year so best not leave it too late to book your accomodation.

We have a few hotel rooms provisionally booked (indicated on the map, more infos below) but feel free to find your own accomodation too if that suits better. Any location in the orange circle is in or within walking distance of the town centre, which stretches from the Porta Nigra to the Cathedral.

We have 8 doublerooms and a threebed reserved from the 10/10 - 12/10/2014 at the Porta Nigra Hotel. While the reception area of the hotel has been refurbished recently and looks like a 4* hotel now, the rooms are a bit dated but clean. A room is 89 Euro/ per night (breakfast at € 7.50 per person) and can be booked via email to info@Hotel-Portanigra.de. Please give Eva's surname "Falkenhagen" when booking, since the rooms are provisionally held in her name.

Also, we have reserved 4 doublerooms from the 10/10 - 12/10/2014 and 4 doublerooms from the 10/10 - 13/10/2014 (for those who wish to stay longer) in the Hotel Ante Portas Trier. It will take you 5 minutes longer to get to this hotel from the city centre, but it has only been around for a few years and rooms look quite nice. They are 99 Euro/ night (breakfast at € 8 per person) and can be booked directly per email to info@hotel-anteporta.de, again rooms are held under "Falkenhagen".
